For a while i have held a certain fascination for the military, platoon boys for one but of course the clothing. Not so much now days but think Sergeant Pepper style.
Silver buttons, gold embellishment, black red and blue, shoulder pads and chains and the lack of accessorizing that needs to be teamed with it. Sure bring on a plain black scarf and a pair of simple studs, but thats all you really need for one of those "i cant be bothered days" where you still want to look good but not make such and effort. Think Military!
If you look to your right this picture is the perfect example of a day in France just hanging out, sigh. A must with the military style is tassels or fringe, whether its on the coat or on something else like your boots, hand bag (exhibit A ->) or at the ends of your scarf it will work, even your hair, team it with your coat or blazer, they marry each other almost too well.
Now this style can obviously be teamed with other great things. Shoes, ah where to start. Cream or while ankle booties are fantastic for every season, even in summer with those tiny short shorts when you're not bloated from being a woman they are great and a must! I have found two paris that i am in love with and wont break your bank account. Minty Meets Munt have a fantastic pair that i spotted in Shop Till you Drop for $89.95, also Billabong have a similar pair for $79.95 (to get pictures of the following google the brands they're easily found on the website)
